Where most of NIS already lives, out by the airport and the factories, at rent you can survive on.
Bao'an is the west of the city: the airport, the port, and the enormous belt of manufacturing that made Shenzhen what it is. If you are here to buy, source or ship, you will spend your working life in this district and it makes sense to live in it.
It is also where the Nigerian community in Shenzhen has concentrated for years, which means it is the easiest place to arrive into. There are people who will show you the market, tell you which agent is honest, and be at the hospital with you at two in the morning.
The trade-off is distance. Bao'an is long, and the far north of it is a serious commute to anywhere in Futian.
