Nanshan holds the universities: Shenzhen University, HIT Shenzhen, SUSTech and the Chinese University of Hong Kong campus. Tencent, DJI and most of the technology sector are here too, along with the sea, the mountain, the best parks and the cleanest air in the city.
It is priced accordingly. A one-bedroom flat in Houhai costs what a three-bedroom costs in Longgang. Students in dormitories get the district for a fraction of that, which is a real advantage while it lasts.
