Futian is the civic and financial centre: the government offices, the banks and the convention centre. Huaqiangbei is here as well, the electronics market that half the visitors to this city come for.
It has the best transport in Shenzhen by a distance; almost every line passes through it. If your work takes you all over the city, living in Futian removes an hour a day from your life.
The Futian crossing puts Hong Kong forty minutes away. That matters more than people expect, because flights, banking and several parts of a Nigerian life are easier to arrange there.
